Petržalka is Bratislava's largest housing estate and one of Central Europe's biggest panel-block districts: ~110,000 residents on the right bank of the Danube, in dense 1970s–80s construction. The feel is "microdistrict": long rows of paneláky, generous greenery between blocks, Draždiak lake, a Danube embankment for walking and cycling, and a new tram line connecting it to the centre. Mix of families, singles and renters.
Transit
Bus 93 between Petržalka station and the main station (~10 min, 15-min intervals in peak). New tram line 3 connects Južné Mesto via Jungmannova, Zrkadlový háj and Farského to the centre (Šafárikovo nám.) in ~12 min. Eurovea ~15–20 min.
Housing stock
Mostly 8–12 storey paneláky from the 1970s–80s with 1–3 room layouts (studio, two-room "dvojgarsónka", three-room around 65–75 m²), often refurbished. New-builds Slnečnice, Južné Mesto and Matadorka add modern open-plan units with parking.
